Our company was founded in 1970 as a partnership between Mehmet ÜREK and Burhan YAĞLICA. During those years, we produced handkerchiefs, sheets, and shirting fabrics on a contract basis, but since the ready-made clothing industry was not available, they were marketed as fabric. In the early 1980s, we transitioned to handkerchief apparel, and the handkerchiefs were packaged and offered to wholesalers.
Recognizing that institutionalization is essential for continuity and longevity in business, our company took the first step toward this goal, incorporating in February 1994, establishing Gözde Tekstil San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti. Since 2000, Mehmet ÜREK and Burhan YAĞLICA have retired and transferred all their operations under the Gözde Tekstil San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti. to their children.
Our company continues its operations with its office and warehouse in central Denizli and its 1,150 m² factory building in the Kızılcabölük Small Industrial Site. On January 1, 2008, we acquired the workplace belonging to Salih Zeki Kahraman in Mercan, Istanbul, and opened our Istanbul branch. To enhance our service network and enhance our service quality in Istanbul, we opened our İstç branch on May 1, 2013, bringing our total number of branches to two.
As of 2015, our company reached a total fabric production capacity of 3,000,000 m²/year, including its own weaving looms and subcontracted work. Meanwhile, we have diversified our product range, producing tablecloths, tea towels, peshtemals, peshtemal bathrobes, and natural fabrics in addition to handkerchiefs.
In our 45 years in the industry, we have never compromised on quality and reliability. This has been a key factor in our company's steady growth and development. Our core principle will continue to be to contribute to the Turkish economy by continuing on our path without deviating from the business tradition we inherited from our ancestors.
We extend our gratitude to all our customers, both those who contributed to our production and our commercial transactions over the past 45 years, and wish them continued success.
